Idler frames

Idler frames are the basic modular elements for belt conveyors assembly. Idler frames with idlers create a “belt trough”. The idlers could be of various diameters: 63,5, 89, 108, 133 and 159 (and bigger).

Idler frames are produced in various widths from 400 mm up to 2.400 mm according to client’s requests.

Idler frames are divided pursuant to its usage:

  •  upper idler frames: PAL, PUS, VAL, L6…, U10…
  •  upper impact idler frames (acc. to client’s requirements)
  •  upper training sets (one-way only): LESO
  •  upper training sets for reversible conveyors: LESOR

          

          

  • return idler frame (acc. to requirements)
  • return training sets (one-way only): LESU
  • return training sets for reversible conveyors: LESUR

          

          

 

The upper idler frames transmit all dynamic and static load of conveyor belt through idlers to conveyor structure. The upper idler frames are mostly constructed in trough, i.e. with 3 idlers and seldom with 2 or 5 idlers. Inclination of lateral brackets is usually within the range of 10° to 45°.

Return line with return idler frames enables to lead the conveyor belt back to feeding point. The usual inclination of return idlers is 0°, 5° or 15°.

The idler frames are fixed to conveyor structure by clamps or screws.

The coating is being made according to client’s requirements:

  • galvanizing acc. to DIN-EN-ISO 1461
  • painting (various thicknesses of coating – up to 250µ)
  • primer coating (ca. 40µ)
  • powder coating

The GTK, spol. s r.o. (Ltd.) produces approximately 45.000 pieces of various types of idler frames in a year. Almost 95% of the production is exported to clients in EC.

The production of idler frames makes approx. 40% of the company turnover.
